  2. Marine Engineers • Marine engineers design, build, test and repair boats, ships, underwater craft

  3. High School requirements • of three years each of high school science and math. Specifically, you usually need classes in algebra, or chemistry, biology and physics.

  4. College requirements • A bachelor's degree usually takes four years and includes general education subjects in addition to classes and labs in the engineering major. The required subjects typically include physics, computer

  5. Other requirement • The ME major courses include common applied engineering courses along with marine engineering specific STCW courses. • The ME program includes approximately 50 days of practical shipboard training each year to satisfy STCW requirements for sea service.

  6. Responsibilities • A marine engineer is responsible for the maintenance and general operation of a ship's engines. He is expected to lead a team of skilled technical staff to ensure a ship runs safely.

  7. interesting information • underwater video equipment, acoustic measuring devices (instruments that make it possible to "sense" underwater objects and seafloor formations), and underwater vehicles, including submersibles and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

  8. This was something I wanted to do before the test I took and it look fun to do and I hope I can do it. Or I hope I can make it all the way there .
