Assembly Involvement since publication of RPG10: • Raising awareness of RPG10 regional target for • renewable electricity, resulting from the • ESTU / O’Rourke regional assessment, • commissioned by GOSW; • Developing the approach with LA officers & others, • helping determine the guidance which will • assist local policy making and decisions • Observer status on the Board of REGENsw.

Next steps assuming Planning Bill enacted : • Regional Assembly becomes • Regional Planning Body (RPB) • Move from RPG10 towards a statutory • Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS). • RE Targets into deposit and ‘saved’ Structure • Plans . May end up with mixed coverage • Interim Guidance to cover the transitional • period until RSS enquiry/adoption
