Catch Them Before They Slip Through the Cracks! • Race to the Top provided funding for 375 Intervention and Enrichment modules • 8 professional development and @367 student modules • 2 Webinars • Development • @246 modules to align with Maryland College and Career Ready • Standards • @123 modules to align with Disciplinary Literacy Standards in Science • and Social Studies • Storyboard review with MSDE content specialists • Functional review with MSDE content specialists

Online Modules • Each module will: • align to Maryland College and Career-Ready Standards • be approximately 10 – 15 minutes in length • incorporate the principles of Universal Design of Learning (UDL) • be accessible for all users • include formative assessment • include different types of interactive and innovative formats for student instruction and formative assessment

  5. Use of Modules • After initial instruction • Informal assessment • Re-teaching • Extend learning • Short or extended absences • Cooperative learning and/or peer teaching • “At home” activities • Foster better understanding
