    • Layer-agnostic interconnection of networks (IP and non-IP)

  • Tolerance to disruption/disconnection

    • No contemporaneous e2e path assumed

  • “Advanced” (multi-path) routing

    • Similar to multi-commodity flow or trans-shipment problem in operations research
