  3. Main Characters Mike Wasowski 3-4 sentences/bullets on: Character traits How does this character change throughout the story? What role does the character play in the story? ***You don’t necessary have to use all of these questions- analyze the character!

Main Characters Randall 3-4 sentences/bullets on: • Character traits • What role does the character play in the story? • If the character is evil, why? • What is his/her motive for bringing down the other characters? • If your book has been made into a movie, do not simply use all of those photos in your report.

Main Characters Boo 3-4 sentences/bullets on: • Character traits • How this character changes throughout the story? • What role does the character play in the story? • If the character is evil, why? • What is his/her motive to bring down the other characters? • Because your report is coming from a book, it will probably not have an actual picture of each character- get creative • ***Feel free to dedicate more than one slide to a character if you feel it is necessary.

  6. Minor Characters • Do not necessarily need to dedicate 1 slide to each minor character • Tell me what role they play in the story

  7. Setting Monstropolis – use 3-4 sentences/bullets to describe the setting. Find a picture that aligns with how you imagined it to be.

  8. Conflict Tell me about the conflict that the characters face (every fiction story has one). • Recommendation: 1 slide and refer to it throughout plot, characters, etc… • Do not put it at the end of your report

  9. Plot • Event 1 (You should have at least 5 events- one per slide) • Simply tell me what happens, pictures are a useful tool to help me visualize what is going on. Example: Sully breaks the scare record What exactly does Monsters Inc. do?

  10. Plot- Climax (Describe why it is the climax)

  11. Opinion (1-2 Slides) • Tell me why you did or did not like the book • Would you recommend it to someone else?

  12. Final Thoughts • Additional ideas for slides: Theme/Moral • Nonfiction: Main Idea • About the Author- Other books you may want to read • Impact/history of book in society? • Compare/Contrast the book and movie? Use of pictures: Get creative (No wrong answers) • PowerPoints DO NOT need to be filled with text • Try using bullets instead of sentences (no paragraphs) • SPELLING AND GRAMMAR MUST STILL BE CORRECT
