AIMS: • Overcome prejudices and stereotypes • Collaborate with students from different countries • Use Information technologies: the Internet, newsgroups, e-mails… • Improve communication in English • MAIN PHASES OF OUR WORK: • Information exchange among the students of the four schools through the newsgroup. • Meetings: • Lodz, Poland (October 2003) • Igualada, Spain (April 2004) • Dupnitsa, Bulgaria (October 2004) • Parma, Italy (April 2005) • Igualada, Spain (June 2005) • Igualada, Spain (October 2005) • Parma, Italy (February 2006) • and…Lodz, Poland 30 May- 4 June 2006!

  4. SCHOOL YEAR 2003/2004 Regular contacts in the saxie newsgroup • Collection and exchange of information about geographical, historical and cultural features of each country • Production of texts, grids, images and other material

SCHOOL YEAR 2004/2005 Wide angle on three themes: • National festivals • Images of social uneasiness • Emigration, immigration , xenophobia Through: • Exchange of documents • Exchange of photos and pictures on social uneasiness • Exhibition of a selection of images • Publication of interviews, essays, data on immigration

  6. SCHOOL YEAR 2005/2006 The SAXIE game Nobody wins if one competitor loses! We discussed and created Question and anwers cards Bonus and penalty cards The board

  7. 2D and 3A have worked on questions, bonuses and penalties. We worked in groups, visited web sites and discussed.

  8. THE BOARD ! The Liceo Ulivi students designed four boards and sample question, bonus and penalty cards. We wanted the board to reflect and communicate European values. During the Parma meeting in February we made our choice…
