Pack & Sea A/S • Pack & Sea A/S is a cooperation of Danish Fishermen Associations • The objective is to increase the volume of seapacked fish, which have higher quality and value • The business challenge is to eliminate an 5-7% annual loss rate on returnable fish crates and improve availability of crates

  9. Pack & Sea Solution • Why use RFID tags: • Barcodes do not survive • RFID tags and readers are now available at reasonable prices • A standard for RFID (EPC Gen2) is now available • Experienced turnkey solution providers are present

Pack & Sea Solution • Fish crate basics: • Each fish crate is equipped with EPC Gen2 RFID tags holding a GRAI identification code • RFID tags are moulded into each handle for protection from harsh environment • Pack & Sea is tagging 200.000 fish crates The tag will be moulded into the plastic for complete protection
