  1. Jetport Update • Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department (MDPR) is working on a site plan for OHV trails, camping, fishing, and outdoor recreation on 1,550 acres within Collier County south of the runway at the TNT airport. The preliminary site plan is expected from the consultant by end of March. County staff will review the site plan and provide an estimate of probable cost for development of OHV trails at TNT. This project is funded by the T. Mark Schmidt OHV Grant Program of Florida Division of Forestry, and will be completed by June 2009. • MDPR plans to submit a Growth Management Plan Amendment to Collier County Community Development & Environmental Services by the due date of April 1. The GMPA amendment will seek approval by Collier County to allow motorized recreation (for off-highway vehicles) at TNT (which is currently categorized Conservation, which allows only passive recreation uses). MDPR plans to coordinate with Collier County and Big Cypress National Preserve through the land-use amendment process. • MDPR applied for a grant from Florida Division of Forestry for FY2009-2010. If accepted, this grant request will provide funding to support the work needed for the Collier County Growth Management Plan amendment that is necessary prior to developing OHV trails at TNT. MDPR will know in late April 2009 if this grant is accepted. • Miami-Dade County staff is actively seeking funding for conducting the environmental permitting process that is necessary for the site
