  2. So whats the argument about? Many people have spoken about a women being a pastor. Many have wondered if a women can pastor, or if she should not. Some think the bible is beside itself on this issue. We hope to help you in your quest to understand Gods word. Next

  3. What will we look at? 1) What does it mean to pastor? 2) Does the bible say women can not pastor? 3) Does the bible say women can? Next

  4. Pastor Ephesians 4:11 “And he gave some to be Apostles; and some, prophets, evangelist, PASTORS and Teachers” What does a pastor do? They teach train Christ's followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ's body, the church, until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ Next

  5. Does The Bible say women can not preach? So what is the verse many people say prevents women from preaching? Most often the 2 passages are 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-12 Lets look at those................ Next

  6. 1 Timothy 2:11-12 “Let a women learn in silence with all submission. And I (paul) do not permit a women to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence” Most people use this verse to say women can not preach, but are to remain silent. IF you looked at just this one verse, it could be said its wrong for women to preach. Next

  7. 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 “Women should remain silent in the churches, They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something they should ask their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a women to speak in the church” Again if you used just this one verse it could be said its wrong for women to pastor. Next

  8. Does The Bible say women can preach? First some facts on women. 1) Women May teach men in the assembly. Colossians 3:16 says “let the word of christ dwell in your richly in all wisdom teaching one another” 2) Priscilla was involved in teaching Apollos Acts 18:25-36 says “when Aquila and Priscilla heard him they took him aside and explained to him the way of GOD more accurately” Next

Does The Bible say women can preach? 3) Women were actually commanded to teach. 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men [anthropus] who will be able to teach others also. anthropos (a[nqrwpo"), is used generally, of a human being, male or female, without reference to sex or nationality Next

  10. What about paul saying women couldnt speak? If a woman is literally forbidden to speak at all, how can she sing? Ephesians 5:19 How could she confess Christ? Romans 10:9-10 could she say "amen"? Nehemiah 8:2-6 and 1 Corinthians 14:15-16 Next

  11. Now your just reaching josh! Well, heres the deal. Sadly many people read a verse but dont compare it, understand it, learn it. Paul didnt mean and absolute silence as some say, if he did he would be outside of Gods word as i just showed you. He was speaking to a problem, just as he has in the past........ Next

  12. 1 Corinthians 7:10-12 “Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife. But to the restI, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her. Next

  13. So now what? Paul said that women needed to be under authority. He was affirming GOD's laws, for it was the word that said “And the head of women is man” Women preachers who are NOT the head pastor's are not acting in sin, for they are UNDER authority.. Next

  14. Mark 9:38-39 38"Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us." 39"Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me (niv) 38John spoke up, "Teacher, we saw a man using your name to expel demons and we stopped him because he wasn't in our group." 39Jesus wasn't pleased. "Don't stop him. No one can use my name to do something good and powerful, and in the next breath cut me down (MSG) Next

  15. Why is that important? The issue is, If God is working through a women to reach men, who are you to question him? Look at what the pastor is teaching, is it biblical? Does it honor GOD? Are people repenting? If so, you might want to think twice before speaking out against her. That man was not of the same group as the 12, but he was doing the work that God wanted him to do. Allow me to show you one last verse before we close todays bible study. Next

Mark 9:40-41 40 For he that is not against us is on our part. 41For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. (KJV) 40 If he's not an enemy, he's an ally. 41 Why, anyone by just giving you a cup of water in my name is on our side. Count on it that God will notice. (MSG) Next

  17. In Closing Its important i agree that we need to keep an eye on whats being taught in our church's. Right now we have pastors allowing muslims to preach that christians and muslims worship the same GOD. THIS IS A LIE FROM SATAN!!!!!!!! We do need to be careful but we also need to let God do his work with out us getting in the way like john and the others did in mark 9. But rather be like Christ who saw that what was being done was good, and pleasing to the lord. Next
