International Workshop 25 – 28 Jan 2013 Torrance, CA USA Charter • Purpose - to provide the INCOSE membership the best practices and guidelines for integrating computer based tools, interchanging data and the interoperability of tools and data in the systems engineering environment in support of the INCOSE 2020 Vision. • Goals – • Foster efficiency of systems engineering process execution through integrated processes, tools and environments including design, manufacturing and sustainment lifecycle systems. • Provide a forum for discussion and information dissemination on tool integration, process implementation and operational behavior. • Promote the development, validation and deployment of standards that advance the interoperability of engineering toolsets. • Scope – • The scope of TIIWG activities as defined by the Direction of the BOD, CAB and Technical Operations leadership is to meet the needs of the MBSE Initiative Activity Teams, the TIIWG members, the needs of other INCOSE Working Groups and the membership of INCOSE in regards to an Integrated Systems Engineering Environment.

International Workshop 25 – 28 Jan 2013 Torrance, CA USA 2014 IW Outcomes • Signed up as an Early Adapter of the new Web Site, initiated a plan to move our WG data to the new site. • Updated members on OSLC and PDES liaison project activities and status. • In depth discussion of integration and interoperability issues with tool vendors.

International Workshop 25 – 28 Jan 2013 Torrance, CA USA Planned Work • Continue the liaison with OASIS/OSLC and working with the OSLC4MBSE Working group • Continue the liaison with the PDES Inc. Systems Engineering Project for requirements, data and model exchange execution between numerous toolsets • Conduct Interoperability Seminars with vendor presentations, discussion panels and member experience briefings

  6. International Workshop 25 – 28 Jan 2013 Torrance, CA USA Planned Work • Produce a Systems Engineering Tool Integration and Interoperability Issues and Solutions Handbook. • Complete the ISEE CONOPS and SRD update. • Systems engineering integration and interoperability survey
