  9. Answer: • A business study showed workers received an average of 178 messages each day via telephone, email, fax, text, and face-to-face communication. That is more than 22 messages every hour in a typical eight –hour work day.

  14. Context Guides Your Communication a. Role: a part played in a specific setting or situation. b. Norm: a stated or implied; a guideline for what is appropriate in a given situation. c. Appropriateness: what is suitable for a specific situation.
