Many NGO's and organizations work to support communities with their ecotourism endeavors. One important concern that is often raised questions the sustainability of ecotourism in indigenous communities. Type: Article Duration: 40 - 60mins Materials Needed: - Computer & printer Preparation: Prior to reading the article split the students into “pro-ecotourism” and “anit-ecotourism” groups Link: Sustainable Ecotourism Development in the Embera Indigenous Communities, Chagres National Park, Panama Debate Questions After reading the article, please use the following questions to guide a debate between the pro and anti ecotourism groups.
