  1. May 22-26, 2017 Kindergarten Ms. Ballard, Mrs. Ishman, Mrs. Weber and Mrs. Graf Specials: Kindergarten News We had an amazing time on our trip to Indian Echo Caverns! Thank you so much to the parents who were chaperones on our field trip. Having extra hands to hold in the dark made the trip a wonderful success.   This week we begin our last theme unit in Kindergarten, Australian food and sports. We are looking forward to decorating our own boomerangs and testing which design “flies” best! . Mon. Day 6: Music, Spanish, Library – LAST BOOK DAY! Tues. Day 7: Strings, Art Wed. Day 1: Phys.Ed., ScienceLab, Library Thurs. Day 2: Strings, Music Fri. Day 3: Phys. Ed., Art, Spanish UpcomingEvents Other News • May 22 – All Library books due. • May 23- Denim day and wear purple and donation to “Lifesavers” team for Relay for Life of the American Cancer Society • May 26 – Field Day (1/2 day of school) • May 29- Memorial Day NO SCHOOL • June 7- 8:00 am Closing Ceremony (Kindergarten Graduation) The 26th of May is field day starting at 9:15 am on the field, followed by the class picnic beginning at 10:40.  You are welcome to join us for field day and lunch (please RSVP) and then take your child home after the picnic. It is a half day of school that day, so if you are unable to attend the picnic or take your child home, he/she can stay for EDP. The Parent Association sold the field day t-shirts. If you missed the opportunity to buy one, just dress your child in the appropriate color t-shirt for his/her team. To remember: Read at least one book on RAZ Kids each week. Children should start emptying their own folder at home to give the papers to you. To Remember • May 22 – All Library Books due • RSVP for field day picnic • RSVP for closing ceremonies • Bring in a donation on Tuesday, May 23rd to American Cancer Society • Our last full day of school (i.e. 7:30-2:40) is on Tuesday, June 6th. On Wednesday, June 7th, the children will come to school with you and depart with you after the Closing Ceremony (i.e. 8:00am-9:00am). Children dress similarly to what they wore for the Strings Concert.
