  1. Unit 11 Look into the Future Chapter 2 PalmistryReadingorHandReading? 東華書局Thomson ELT

  2. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 1-1 To the Daily News: I am writing about your recentarticle, “The Secrets of Reading Palms.” It was interesting in some ways, but on the whole it was rather old-fashioned.

  3. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 1-2 The palm reading that the article described is, in most people’s minds, a kind of fortune-telling. People expect the palm reader to answer questions like, “How many years will I live?” or, “Will I fall in love with a tall, dark, and handsome stranger?”

  4. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 1-3 For me, it is difficult to have confidenceina palm reader who claims to know a person’s future simply on the basis of palm lines.

  5. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 2-1 After a short look at my palm, a palm reader once told me that I was honest, smart, not lazy, and not at all selfish! She then said that I would find a love match soon. I wish it were true. I was quite suspicious.

  6. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 2-2 How could I believe that my past, present, or future can be known from the few lines on the palm of my hand! The lines on the hand often change as we age.

  7. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 2-3 Therefore, I believe it doesn’t make sense to use these changing lines to make judgments about a person’s life and personality.

  8. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 3-1 On the other hand, the article doesn’t even consider the modern field of hand reading. Unlike old-fashioned palm readers, modern hand readers take into accountthe entire hand and body.

  9. Palmistry Reading orHandReading? 3-2 Furthermore, hand readers need to be knowledgeable in the art of acupuncture. Through experience of many hands, it is possible to understand a person’s personality, stress level, as well as strengths and weaknesses.
