Users and Fields.. • So who uses AutoCAD? • Many companies worldwide use this program. • Its available for public and private use. • What are the four major fields that utilize this software? • Manufacturing • Machined parts, screws, hydraulics..ect • Civil • Bridges, roads, railways..ect • Architectural • Housing, buildings, skyscrapers..ect • Surveying • Maps, site planning..ect

Why? • Why use AutoCAD • AutoCAD enables a more organized and precise way of drafting (as opposed to pencil and paper). • Data can be shared electronically allowing multiple people to work on the same project miles apart. • Automatic precision makes dimension errors easier to avoid • AutoDesk provides online help for any software problems you may encounter.
