Objectives and Methodology OBJECTIVES: • To study the age old practices of selected tribes (from Rajasthan & Uttarakhand) of India. • To illustrate how these practices have helped tribes in their survival. • To understand the ecological and social importance of these practices. • To understand the factors that resulted in deviation from their traditional approach to life. • To assess the impact of urbanization on selected tribal population. • To make a documentary on the survey. • METHODOLOGY: • Examination of the Habitat and living conditions of the tribes. • Personal interviews of the tribal people about their life and daily practices (with the help of guide wherever necessary). • Analyzing their way of resource management and eco-friendly processes. • Use of still photography, video recording and translating technology to make the documentary. • The work would be primarily focused on analysis of their economy, agricultural methodology, their therapeutic approach, water management, other eco-friendly processes in routine life and factors responsible for the deviation from their traditions.

  4. Relevance of study The study can be useful in understanding the factors which resulted in divergence from their traditions and also to understand their environment responsive approaches to solve their day to day problems. Thank you!!
