  2. AER Summer School is a forum that gives the opputunity to meet • people from around the regions. • The 13th Summer School and the 7th Youth Summer School. AER Summer School Different topic each year. Network - meet other people from other regions Share experiences - best practice from different regions Learn new things - It´s also guest speakers that are experts at the topic.

  3. AER Summer School For the youth: In the Summer School every Youth participant become an AER Youth Ambassador. The Youth Ambassadors elect the Youth Team.

  4. This years topic: Youth and Entrepreneurship in Europe´s Regions Östersund, Jämtland. Why entrepreneurship? Some reasons Globalisation – New challenges in the labour market Low employment rate for youth – Can create own possibilities New possibilities – Young persons have a spirit to learn alternative ways AER Summer School

AER Summer School Two objectives during the Summer School: To help regional administrations understand how they can encourage young people to undertake entrepreneurial activities And to help young people understand how they can ensure that their own regions provide improved support to youth entrepreneurship. During this week the participants could experience from each other and talk through ideas directly.

  6. AER Summer School The structure: 4 Groups Group 1: Entrepreneurship education in schools Group 2: Non-formal entrepreneurship strategies Group 3: Youth entrepreneurship strategies for young people without formal education Group 4: Youth participation and entrepreneurship

  8. AER Summer School Some results: Creating, learning and inspiring. A lot of new ideas in many levels political, economical and “doing” in how youth entrepreneurship can be a bigger part of the society Many project ideas in how to involve youth in the regions Make job creators, not job seekers.

  9. AER Summer School How can youth entrepreneurship create access to the labour market? It's more then create an opportunity to sell a product, it's also a way to create your own employment. Young entrepreneurs often engage other youth in their surroundings. Put recourses into youth entrepreneurship is not a cost it's an investment.
