  2. The statue is a monument of: • St. Wenceslaus (Václav) on his horse - He was the duke of Bohemia from 921 till 935 and was very important for Christianity in Bohemia. He is the main patron saint of the Czech state. • St. Ludmila – She was the grandmother of Wenceslaus, she supported him in his Christianity. • St. Procopius (Prokop) – He was a priest, a hermit and the founding abbot of the monastery of Sázava. • St. Adalbert (Vojtěch) – He was a bishop of Prague and a missionary, he was martyred in his efforts to convert the Baltic Prussians. He was later made the patron saint of Bohemia, Poland, Hungary and Prussia. • Agnes of Bohemia (Anežka Česká) – She was a medieval Bohemian princess who opted for a life of charity and piety.

Josef Václav Myslbek • He was the sculpturist of this monument. • He was the most important sculpturist of the turn of the 19th and 20th century. • He was a representative of monumental realism and founder of the New Czech Sculpturism. • He was assisted by the architect Alois Dryák and sculpturist Celda Klouček.

  5. It was revealed on 27th October 1935.Myslbek worked on it more then thirty years.

  6. It's made of bronze.
