Introducing the project • FP7 grant in collaboration with Ingenia, Polito, INRIM (ITA), K2N (UK), Cleopa (GER), Betronic (HOL), Tesco SW andUPOL (CZE). • Aimsto develop a smart thermoregulatory system foroptimizing the heat/cooling energy consumption. • Project is to perform smart and accurate cost allocation to be applied in already existing (old) buildings withcentralizedheating/cooling system. • Preserving a heating/cooling cost allocation really based on the user/flat thermal energy demand.

Project objectives • R&D of a new and smart methodology to implement a heating/cooling cost allocation for each flat owner of a building. • Developementofan innovative zero-impact distributed system able to measure, control and optimize the energy consumption for heating/cooling. • Providing the user with other intelligent feedbacks such as direct and concrete suggestions on heating system settings to increase savings in the energy costs and consumptions. • Performingautomatic heating settings taking into consideration building structural characteristics, external environment conditions and time of location.

Key facts • completely wireless and remote controllable system for all its functions by Internet and mobiles • EcoThermo knows the warm water flow rate that pass through each radiator • save up to 2.5 times with respect to a traditional heating conversion system • pre-set temperature profiles for each distinguished day of the week according to your needs and even subdivide the flat in many independent temperature controlled areas
