  3. Council social media/internet access • Find out if there is a social media policy • Demonstrate there is a point to it • Show other existing examples

  4. Time allocation/staffing • Find staff who can update it regularly • Allocate 2 hours a week and allow time for research • Make use of Hootsuite or Tweet deck

  5. Social media knowledge/experience • Choose the right platform and content • Find and establish your audience • Experiment and have fun!
