  8. Parents’ Role • Independent study at home • Study time at Sixth Form • Encourage punctuality • Provide absence notes/phone calls • Limit part time work and external tuition • Support our appropriate dress code • Visiting Universities and Colleges • Talk about subject specifics

  9. Falmouth Sixth Form College Reports 6 times a year. Comparing to ALPS final grade estimates. On-target students given more independence.

  10. There are six of these reports a year. Three full and three interim reports. Dates of issue are in the Parent Guide.

  11. Interim Report Gives progress over the year in Effort and Attainment Two Parents/Carers’ Consultation Evenings to discuss progress.

  12. Has my son or daughter picked the right courses? First report will be on the Transition Period with Transition units Piece of work set by teachers to assess the suitability of students for the course based on GCSE and new skills and content. Courses must be fixed by the first week of October: • Full time Vocational with Work Placement • 4 AS Levels • Commitment to extra/supra-curricular activities

  13. The Bursary Fund 2014-15Only available to a limited group of students. Application forms can be collected by students from Jill Pitts.
