UES measure development funded by S/R Subcommittee • Work done by PECI (Nick Bengston and Eric Mullendore) • Presentation to RTF at January meeting • Members asked PECI/Staff to look into several issues • Grounding costs • Whole fixture replacements • Refinement of measure specification • Remote-ballasted applications • Voiding of fixture UL-listing • Photocell life • Brought back to RTF at February meeting • Measure approved • Removed induction lamp measures, kept LED measures • Added LED fixtures • Separate measures for LED lamp w/ and w/out new electronic photocell • No added cost estimated for grounding Ongoing Work – Area Lights (Barn Lights)

S/R Subcommittee approved funding in January, via email • $5K for a scoping study • Characterize the quantity and condition of older manufactured homes throughout the PNW • Identify potential funding sources for inter-organizational decommissioning program • To be conducted by a Masters of Social Work student in the PNW • Statement of work has been written and bid request sent to several PNW universities last week • Responses due March 15th • Timeline for work will be Spring and Summer semesters Ongoing Work – Mobile Home Decommissioning

Subcommittee selected a scoping study of rural health-care facilities as top priority for 2014. • Focus on small health clinics, not hospitals or large health facilities • Focus on human health clinics • Some research into differences and similarities between human and animal clinics. • Subcommittee may want to expand scope of the effort to include more sites and/or veterinary clinics. • Staff have reached out to recommended contacts • Most have not had much exposure to small clinics • Mostly larger health care facilities • Those that had suggested that clinics don’t look much different than other small retail buildings • Lighting opportunities • HVAC no different than other commercial buildings • Not much specialized equipment, and none with significant usage • Largest barrier to EE is lack of facilities personnel • Do we want to feel this out more before developing a scope of work?
