This guidance is provided to promote the use of emerging data sharing capabilities that promise to significantly improve the combat power of the Department by making people and organizations more aware, smarter, and able to cooperate in solving problems; whether encountered in combat, or in the headquarters. Purpose

Current Status - 8320.02-G • 1st draft released for internal staffing – 1 December • Top overarching comments received: • Clarify target audience & intent • Provide clear information about where else to find related information & examples • 1 February – next version to be completed • Mid February – distributed to wider audience • March – adjudicate comments • SF-106 staffing – early April • Issuance – June HOWEVER…..

  5. DoDD 5025.01, 28 October 2007 http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/index.html states: Policy 4b. DoD issuances shall consist of DoDDs, DoDIs, DoDMs, DoD Publications, DTMs, and AIs. All DoD Publications that are not DoDMs shall be converted into DoDMs on their next reissuance. Change in Issuance Type Pending • Impact is being evaluated now!
