Instructions: • This guide should be read and understood by all individuals who are involved with the TML eLearning training. • The mentioned processes of uninstalling and installing the applications should be carried out by an authorized System Administrator only. • For any assistance regarding the described process, please get in touch with the respective area office or mail to tmcvbu.support@adayana.com • Please make sure there is atleast 5GB of space on the C: drive. If there is less than 5GB of space, please change the installation path to another drive which has 5GB or more space. The detailed process is explained in Step 3 of this guide. Important Information: Dealerships having the old version installed, have to make sure to uninstall it first (process explained in Step 1 of this document). The old CDs will no more be required, hence they can be discarded or archived. • There will be two types of CDs for the new installation. • Disk 1 will consist of the main application and one vehicle model (in this case 2515) • Disk 2 onwards will consist of path updates of vehicle models which will be added • If Disk 2 or later is installed without installing Disk 1 first, the course will not work • Please ensure to install Disk 1 first for the course to work

  3. Step 1 The old course application has to be uninstalled from all systems which have it pre-installed. To uninstall the old application, go to: • START > PROGRAMS > TML_CVBU Training > Uninstall Or • START > CONTROL PANEL > ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS • Locate “TML CVBU_Training” and click on uninstall • Follow the instructions on screen to complete the uninstall process

  4. Step 2 Insert the CD labeled “DISK 1” in the CD ROM drive. The CD will autorun and the above screen will open. Click the “Next” button to continue.

  5. Step 3 If there is less than 5GB of space on C: drive, please specify an alternate drive (D: or E:) in the below location. Just replace C (in the red box) with the alternate drive letter. Click the “Next” button to continue.

  6. Step 4 Click the “Next” button to continue.

  7. Step 5 Click on the check box to Create a desktop icon and then the “Next” button to continue.

  8. Step 6 Click on the “Install” button to start the installation process.

  9. Step 7 The installation process will take about 10 - 15 minutes to complete. Do not click the “Cancel” button unless it is necessary to cancel the installation.

  10. Step 8 Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation process. The program can now be run and the course for one vehicle model can be taken.

  11. Step 9 After the installation is complete, the course can be launched in the similar fashion as before either from the Desktop Shortcut or from the Start Menu. Please refer to the Help provided in the course for further details. The first screen will be the main login screen where the Workstation ID and Workshop Password has to be entered for the first time only. Note: this step requires internet connection Please contact your respective area office incase the Workstation ID and Workshop Password is not available with the dealership. Do not use the same Workshop ID for multiple systems. Every system must have its own unique Workshop ID otherwise the connection with the server will not be authenticated

  12. Step 10 Now insert Disk 2 in the CD ROM drive to add new vehicle models, updates to the course or any other new feature that are added to the application. Every disk will have details of the updates it contains, like vehicle model, new features etc. The CD will autorun and the above screen will open. Click the “Next” button to continue.

  13. Step 11 Keep in mind to change the drive letter if it was replaced during the installation of Disk 1. Else proceed with the installation. Click the “Next” button to continue.

  14. Step 12 Click the “Next” button to continue.

  15. Step 13 Click on the “Install” button to start the installation process.

  16. Step 14 The installation process will take time according to the amount of updates being installed. Do not click the “Cancel” button unless it is necessary to cancel the installation.

  17. Step 15 Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation process. The program can now be run and the new updates (added vehicle models etc) can be viewed.

  18. Common Do’s and Don’ts All the learners registered with the Tata Motors eLearning application have unique identity in the system and it is important that they follow certain procedures to ensure correct reporting by the system. Do’s • Ensure that the technical specifications of your machine is in adherence with the standard specifications which are as under: • Pentium IV machine512 MB RAM40GB HDD17” monitor to support 1024 x 768 pixelsIE 6.0Soundcard with good quality headphonesMouse and keyboard52 x CD drive/ DVD driveInternet connectivity (128 mbps desirable) • Workshop Password: This is a one-time usage password for authenticating your system with the main server and opening the courseware. • Un-install the current TML_CVBU Training from the system by going to Programs>TML_CVBU Training>Uninstall • Run the new TML_CVBU Training and install it • After deployment of the course from the CD, ensure that the TML_CVBU Training icon appears on your system desktop. This is your shortcut to access the course. • Learner Password: To access the course as a learner, always remember your password. This is your unique identity. • After taking the assessments, ensure that you necessarily log out. This is important to ensure that your information is updated on the server.

  19. Do’s • In the event of a system crash, re-install the eLearning application using the same Workstation ID and Workshop password. Please note that your data on the server will not be lost. Remember to install Disk 1 first and then the other disks. • Your assessment results will be displayed immediately after you have taken the assessments of a particular aggregate variant. • Always wait till the application closes by itself after you have clicked on the “X” button to log-out. • In case you get stuck and are not able to access the course for any reason, please immediately get in touch with your TML service incharge. • When you have to access the course through internet, ask the system administrator to do the following: • Go to the Installation Folder of the Application. If the default path is not changed at the time of installation, it will be • C:\Program Files\TML CVBU_Training\ • Under the installation folder go the below location \resources\userData) and open the file named ‘config.xml’ using a notepad or any text editor. • Change this URL : <serverPath>http://172.30.1.220:8080/tatalms/</serverPath> • To this URL: <serverPath>http://cslms.tatamotors.com:8080/tatalms/</serverPath> Don’ts • Do not forget your login password. • Do not alter any settings of the system. • Do not use special characters like “@, #, %, &, *, “, etc., while creating your workshop password/ Workshop details.
