  5. Financial status year to dateMarch 31, 2011 Income $ 4,279,926 Expenses $ 4,075,943 Net $ 203,983 After depreciation, we anticipate a net income of approximately $67,000 as compared to last year’s $116,000. Any proceeds from year to year are reinvested into the school.

  6. Enrollment status We anticipate an additional 50 to 60 students will enroll before school begins in August 2011 for a total of 415 - 425 total in grades K – 8 at the Birchwood campus. The preschool will continue to be at 129 Full Time Equivalent students.

Capital Reinvestment Projects completed • Internet bandwidth upgrade to 50 MBS • New Fire Panel (safety feature) • Bridges between portables (safety) • 8 new laptops for teachers • Play structures • Partial Bathroom renovations for Middle School • Gluelam Beam caps, exterior of building • Carpet in F building • Fire rated Ceiling tiles

  8. Introducing ourDirector of Marketing and Enrollment Diana Liffengren began work during the second week of January. She is responsible for the new emphasis on marketing, communication, advertising, and increasing enrollment. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.   9. Achievements at ACSI Student Events 5th -8th Grade Spelling Bee • 11% of the participants • 63% of the awards! 1st -4th Grade Spelling Bee • 15% of the participants • 31% of the awards Math Olympics • 31% of the participants • 48% of the awards

Improvements for next year • Rosetta Stone in grades 3 through 7, if adequate computer labs available • Increasing instructional time by 4 days, having only one minimum day per month instead of two • Milpitas Unified School District 180 days • Berryessa Union School District 178 days • Milpitas Christian 183 days • Potential public school reduction of days

  13. Summer Programs Summer School • Kinder through 9th grade • 4 days/week MTThF • 8:30 to noon Summer Day Camp • 5 days/week • 7am to 6:30 pm • Off site field trips every Wednesday. Preschool Summer Sessions • 2 week sessions • 2-day, 3-day or 5-day options • 9am to noon All programs open to community students
