  7. Making Visuals Effective • Keep styles consistent (fonts, lines, boxes, etc.) • Use graphics as needed, not just because you can • Label graphics consistently • Labels shouldn’t hide graphics • Graphic shouldn’t hide labels • Labels should line up • Figure titles should be consistent
