  1. Two or more of the four ‘SIRS’ criteria with suspected / identified infection • If not – call for help URGENTLY • Attempt airway maneuvers – head tilt chin lift / jaw thrust • Airway adjuncts if tolerated – guedel / nasopharyngeal airway Sepsis • Oxygen 100% via NRBM 15L/min • Chest x-ray • Arterial blood gas • X2 large bore cannulae (ACF) & bloods – FBC, U&E, LFTs, CRP, Blood cultures, VBG • Fluid challenge 20mls/kg (caution in hx of cvs disease) • Check blood glucose • IV abx as per hospital guidelines within ONE HOUR • Catheterise – aim U/O 0.5mls/kg • Urine dip • Urine, stool, wound, sputum culture
