  2. Introduction • 80% of crashes and 65% of near crashes involved some sort of driver distraction. • 14% of all deaths due to motor vehicle accidents involve a teenage driver. • 53% of the time teen driver deaths occur on weekends.

  3. Driving while texting • 13% of teens admit to texting while driving • Texting means a 400% increase in the amount of time that your eyes are off the road.

  4. Driving While Using Your Cell Phone • Talking on your cell phone while driving is the most common distraction drivers face.

  5. Causes of traffic accident • Driving recklessly causes around 96% of accidents which calls for more compliance with traffic rules. • Crossing roads from undesignated areas endangers pedestrians lives and causes traffic accidents.

  6. Advices • Look around the vehicle and check tire safety and air pressure. • Fasten the seat belt • Look in the rear view and wing mirrors to see the traffic behind. • Keep your phone away and don’t make any calls or texting till u stop the car.
