  2. Freshman Pinning The pinning ceremony itself is a time-honored school tradition for worthy students—you, our panther cubs!

  3. Freshman Pinning Often personally meaningful , pinning signifies your official initiation into the brotherhood and sisterhood of our illustrious school. Our ceremony will be your official welcome into the James B. Dudley High School Panther Family 

  4. Pinning History The ceremony is rich with symbolism. The history of this right of passage can be traced all the way back to the Crusades of the 12th century to those honored for tending the sick and injured. Being Pinned is an HONOR!

  8. Welcome to the Panther Family Dress nicely for the ceremony. If you don’t have dress clothes, just be neat—no holes in shirts or pants, inappropriate tops or bottoms, or sagging. Please invite family and those who’ll support your academic journey! And as always…
