  2. Okay, so what does this mean? The subjunctive mood is used to express actions or ideas which are subjective or otherwise uncertain: will/wanting, emotion, doubt, possibility, necessity, and judgment. The thing to remember is the subjunctive = subjectivity, unreality.

  4. Remember: Verbs and expressions which express someone's will, an order, a need, a piece of advice, or a desire require the subjunctive.
