  2. Preliminaries • Pre-class (10 constructed response pts.) • Imagine that you have a job working 40 hours each week at a rate of $10 per hour. After paying all of your expenses each month (taxes, rent, food, utilities, etc.), you are left with approximately $100 in discretionary income. How will this amount change if you work less hours? What if you spend more than you should on any one kind of expense?

  4. Objectives • Today you will learn: • How to create a simple business memo. • How to insert WordArt into the memo. • You will know that you have completed the lesson when you can create a memo appropriate for business which contains one object of WordArt.

  5. Focus Lesson: WordArt Launch Word. Create a memo using the memo wizard. Select key pieces of text as indicated in the exercise. Change the text to WordArt.
