  2. Festival was held on December 25. • To celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. • His mother was Mary and hisfather wasJoseph.

  3. Decorations People will decorate houses at Christmas time with • an evergreen tree, • real or artificial, • Ornaments, • or lights.

  4. Santa Claus • To enter houses through the chimney • To leave presents under the Christmas tree and in the socks of all good children.

  5. Celebration • People will go to the restaurant to eat Christmas dinner. • We will go to church at Christmas time. • We will exchange Christmas gifts with each other.

  6. I like Christmas • I can have a big Christmas buffet dinner with my parents. • On 24th and 25th of December, I will go to church. • I can get a lot of Christmas presents. • Santa Claus will give me a present in my sock at Christmas Eve.

  7. Festival is held on October 31. • People believed that ghosts and witches came out to play magic on the last day of autumn.

  8. Celebration • People have parties and play games. • They dress up as ghosts and witches. • Witches wear black clothes and tall hats with broomsticks.

  9. Halloween Game • The game is called ‘Trick or treat’ • Children go to their neighbours’ houses at night and ring the bell. • If their neighbour did not give them sweets, they will return later and ring the bell. • Then they run away.

  10. Pumpkin • To take out the inside of the pumpkin. • To cut holes in the skin. • To make eyes and a mouth • To put a candle inside. • The pumpkin looks like a frightening face.

  11. I feel very happy • I can dress up at Halloween. • I can play ‘Trick or Treat’. • I can buy cards, stickers and a large pumpkin.
