  1. Welcome to our class! • Be sure to sign in! • Find a seat! 

  2. Class Procedures • Our day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:15 pm. • Students are considered tardy if they are not in class by 8:20 am. • Students are considered absent if they are not in class at 9:45 am. • If you have a transportation change, please contact the office at (832)484-7750.

  3. Tuesday Folders • Please review your child’s Tuesday folder each week and return it on Wednesday. • This allows you to monitor the progress of his/her work habits, conduct, and academics. • Feel free to write any comments or notes in your child’s Tuesday Folder. • All of your child’s grades can be accessed through Parent Connect. For this reason, I will not be writing grades in Tuesday Folders.

  4. Homework • All homework will be given on Mondays and returned on Fridays. • Late homework must be turned in the next Monday, but does not erase a Homework Strike. • Students record daily homework assignments in their Planner. • Planner & Homework Folder needs to be returned daily (for special notes home). • Homework Criteria (per 9 weeks): • E = 0-4 missing homework assignments • S = 5-7 missing homework assignments • N = 8-10 missing homework assignments • U = 11+ missing homework assignments

  5. CONDUCT • In 2nd grade, we use a color card system. In our class, your child will “flip his/her color” when they are caught doing something great! The goal is to flip their color all the way to pink, where they will then get to choose a prize coupon from the treasure box! In the result of negative behavior, your child will be asked to take “time away” from the group to reset his/her behavior. Your child will be asked to re-join the group when their behavior has been “reset”. Each child’s conduct grade will reflect how many times he/she required time away from the group to reset his/her behavior. Weekly conduct will be recorded in the Tuesday Folder. • After three “resets” an Uh-Oh note will be sent home for you to sign. • This behavior mark will also be written in the Tuesday folder.

Dobbie’s Schedule • Our schedule is as follows: Wednesdays- Library 10:00-10:20 Lunch – 12:00-12:30 • Specials Schedule: • Mon, Tues, Fri – PE • Thurs – Art • Mon, Wed – Music • Conference Times: • 10:00-11:30 Mondays • 10:45-11:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays • 10:00-10:45 Thursdays, Fridays Our Homeroom Parent is working on our schedule for Parent Readers! 

David’s Schedule • Our schedule is as follows: Wednesday- Library 10:20-10:40 Lunch – 12:03-12:33 • Specials Schedule: • Mon, Wed, Thurs – PE • Mon, Tues – Music • Fri – Art • Conference Times: • 10:00-11:30 Mondays • 10:45-11:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays • 10:00-10:45 Thursdays, Fridays Our Homeroom Parent is working on our schedule for Parent Readers! 
