  2. Where did she got her name? The battleship got her name from the state of Texas.

  3. Importance of the ship! The important of the of the is its guns. She needs them so she doesn’t get destroyed. Also there are 11 guns on her.

  4. What did I learn? I learned that she was at Okinawa, the largest amphibious in World War 2. Amphibious means it was both land and water like a island but not surrounded by water.

  5. What war was she in? She was in World War 2 , TEXAS was an aging ship. She been untouched on May 14.

  6. How old is she? She is about 152 years old.

  7. When did she retired? She retired in on June 1946 to January 1948. She became a Historic landmark in 1977. She became a part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on September 1. 1983.
