  3. Day One: First Ideas -September 12, 2012 It is day one! I have plotted out the map route that I will be taking from Midway to Prince Rupert. I’m going to leave for the road at 2:00pm and should get to Vancouver by 9:30, but before I go I’m going to grab breakfast. I plan to see as much wildlife as I can and get to my destination rather quickly, but not to fast. I got to enjoy myself a little. My first destination is to go through Vancouver to get to Stein Valley for the great scenery. After getting to Vancouver and filling up on gas I headed to the Sandman Hotel on David’s Street, which only took about 13 minutes. Once there I got a room for the night, ordered some food, and went to sleep. I started to drive straight to Vancouver from Midway when shortly I noticed the Snowy Protected Area which is a huge protected valley with all sorts of activities to attend to. I took to it for about and hour, I hiked, rested, and enjoyed the view. I even saw a grizzly bear wandering on his way in the distance. After all that I headed back for the road continuing the way to Vancouver. Once at Vancouver I had gone to the Shell to fill up on gas which had cost $37.63 and I used 44.83L of gas to get there.

  4. Sandman Hotel There are a variety of room types in the hotel, but chose to go with the ocean from single bedroom room that contained the following attributes. • 432 - 500 square feet, Smoke-Free, Maximum 3 People • One Bedroom: 1 King Bed, 27" TV • Separate Living Area: 1 Pull-Out Sofa Bed (Single), 27" TV • Kitchen: Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Cook-Top, Oven, Sink • Dishwasher, Cookware, Tableware, Dining Table, Chairs • In-Suite Washer and Dryer • Private Balcony: Ocean View, Floors 15 and Above • Private 3-Piece Bathroom: Bathtub with Shower

  5. Day Two: Continuation To get the food for the road I’m going to quickly go to Save on Foods in Vancouver, Cambie Street. I shouldn’t need much just enough for, breakfast (for the next day),lunch, dinner, and maybe a snack. While I’m there I think I should probably pick up some food for tomorrow as well. It is day two of the road trip and I am heading off to Wells Gray provincial park to spend the night. Once I’m there I plan to do some activity! I’m going to go canoeing along the big lakes and hiking through the majestic forests and valleys. After all of the activity there is rest to be done. On my way there I’m going to stop by Stein Valley for short period of time to rest, sit back and relax for a moment. Before I go to arrive at Wells Gray I’m going to pick up some food for the road and for when I’m there. I just finished eating and I’m about to pull in and park at the park. Before I start doing any major activity I’ve got to think of where to sleep. I think I’m just going to park somewhere and sleep in the car, for I don’t have any tent or trailer on me. It’s a simple and easy way to set up for sleeping anyway, so that leaves me with some extra time to have fun. Canoe rentals cost 40.00$ for the day and hiking is going to be free of course. I’ll get my money ready and my shoes tied because I’m ready to go!

  6. Provincial park: Wells Gray Wells Gray is a beautiful provincial park filled with vast valleys, lakes, river, waterfalls, and forests. It’s known to contain grizzly bears and other wildlife. Activities There are many things to do in Well Gray such as canoeing, hiking, and swimming. There are also different activities for when it’s winter like skiing, snowboarding, and hiking in snowshoes.

  7. Day ThreeA Tedious Trip After spending the night in Wells Gray I take the time to wake up and eat breakfast before I set off yet again. I’m going to take one last nightly stop and Prince George before getting to Prince Rupert. I’m probably not going to be doing a lot of things other than going straight to Prince Rupert because there's not all to much to do on the way there with the route I’m taking. I’m looking at about a 6 hour drive to Prince George, so I’ve got to make sure I have all I need, which I’m almost certain I do. I got my food, money, car, all the essentials really. I’m still driving along the straight road to Prince George. I’ve stopped a few times to eat the remainders of what I still have from Save on Foods and I’m just coming a cross a well needed gas station (the same company gas station as last time). I fill the tank up for $26.48. Once I started to drive I realized that I was quite low on gas, luckily there was a gas station nearby Wells Gray that I was able to reach. It was called Super Save Gas Station. I wasn’t sure how reliable a place with that name would be, but thankfully it was reliable. I paid $40.48 for the gas and kept on going. I have finally arrived at Prince George. It was a long and kind of uneventful drive here, but I’m here now! I decided to stay at the Sandman Hotel like back in Vancouver because it’s pretty reliable so I think I’ll stick with it. For now I’m going to sleep the night away in a well deserved rest.

  8. Day FourSuccess!!! 4)I’m almost there, but I can’t help but notice that the sun is setting and that I’ve been driving for awhile now. So I decided to take a break at Seven Sisters protected area for a short break to watch the sun slowly go down further and maybe take a quick nap. I can’t possibly drive when too tired, or Something bad would happen. 1)Finally the day of accomplishment has arrived! I’m still a little bit tired from yesterday, but I’m much more awake than yesterday! I’m just about to hit the road once more and reach my destination. Once I’m there I don’t know what I’ll do other just kind of wander and wing it. Any who there’s no time for writing right now, I’ve got to go! 5)I’m here... Finally I am here! It’s been fun, yet tedious at times, but it doesn’t matter anymore because I’m here! I’m going to hang around for a few hours and enjoy my spare time. This has been my journal and I won’t be writing in it for awhile so farwell! 3)I’m half way there, I’m writing this while stopped on the side of the road. I decided to take a quick snacking break and to write briefly of where I am and what I’m doing. I have to keep going I feel the need to go fast and get there to be done! I don’t think I can drive much longer after all the driving I’ve been doing. 2)Before I actually start to drive over there I have to go to Save on Foods once more to grab some final food for the final road. It should only take me about 10 or 15 minutes to scram through the store and then after that I’m hitting the road! I’ve calculated the amount of gas I need to get there and I should be a ok.
