  • With the help of parent

    and community volunteers,

a bottle drop off station was

    constructed in September

    2010.

Composting
Composting beverage containers.

  • All students and staff participate in the composting program. Buckets are emptied daily.

Lights out
Lights Out! beverage containers.

  • Sections of lighting in the hallway at our school are left out all day, and all lights are turned off when a room is not in use.

Bins bins and more bins
Bins, bins, and more bins! beverage containers.

  • Our hallway is lined with bins to collect plastic, office paper, pop can tabs, cardboard, computer printer cartridges, and beverage containers.

Used books
Used books beverage containers.

  • Books for the library are often new, but when possible, used books in near new condition are purchased.

  • Students had a book exchange table at our Read-A-Rama. All students traded their gently used books for a “new-to-them” book.

Beyond green
Beyond Green beverage containers.

  • As you can see, the Kersley community, students and staff are working together to make Kersley even greener!
