Information Sharing Policy (ISP) Timeline • June 2013 • RPIC creates ISP Task Force (ISPTF) • September and October 2013 • ISPTF posts draft policy for comments • December 2013 • Board approves new Information Sharing Policy Phase 2 Phase 1 • March 2014 • Board approves Phase 2 scope • June 2014 • Present amended ISP for Board approval

ISPTF Phase 1 Work • Clarified and consolidated existing practices • Addressed issues from comments • Drafted new Information Sharing Policy • Path Rating Catalog • Load forecast data • Base-case data • Redacted and aggregated data • Presumption of legitimate need • Inadvertent interchange data • Event Analysis Lessons Learned

  4. ISPTF Phase 2 Work (1) • Phase 2 Scope approved by WECC Board • Deliverables target date: June WECC Annual Mtg.

ISPTF Phase 2 Work (2) • WECC Board resolution supporting creation of joint task force with Peak Reliability to address UNDA issue • Two-fold issue: • Durable solution to data sharing between Peak and WECC (UNDA sunset/renewal March 2015) • Sharing and protection of UNDA data generally • Task Force being assembled [VR add up-to-date information on this closer to meeting] • WECC and Peak Staff, stakeholder involvement • September goal for completion • More to come…

Related Issues • WECC able to obtain all but few signatures to the consent to share UNDA data with WECC • Enables continued sharing of data for WECC to do its work • WECC will use data in accordance with the UNDA • At this time, WECC has the data it needs (or access to it) to carry out work in 2014

Information Sharing Going ForwardWhat Stakeholders Can Expect • Information Sharing Policy document in WECC Library • Information requests: informationaccess@wecc.biz • WECC website pop-up NDA • Required for member access to confidential data on website • Exceptions: (available only by request) • Commercially sensitive data • Transmission Function Information • Changes to ISP • Goal: Board approval in June • Stakeholder comment period on changes to policy
