1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICARE? PLVS

2. You are eligible for Medicare if You or your spouse worked for at least 10 years in Medicare-covered employment You are 65 years or older and a citizen or permanent resident of the US You qualify with a disability or end-stage renal disease (dialysis)

3. MEDICARE GUIDELINES Receive Part A at age 65 without premiums if 1. You already get retirement benefits from Social Security or Railroad Retirement Board 2. You are eleigible to get Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits, but have not filed yet 3. You or spouse had Medicare-covered government employment

4. MEDICARE GUIDELINES Receive Medicare under age 65 years at no cost if 1. You have received Social Security or Railroad Retirement disability benefits for 24 months 2. You have end-stage renal failure

5. MEDICARE GUIDELINES FOR PART B MEDICARE Monthly premium for 2008 is $96.40 (could be higher if income dictates)

6. MEDICARE GUIDELINES FOR PART B MEDICARE Deducted from Social Security, Railroad Retirement, or Civil Service Retirement check

7. MEDICARE GUIDELINES FOR PART B MEDICARE OR Medicare will bill you every 3 months
