  4. Explain what cartilage is. • cartilage is a flexible tissue

  6. What is bones made of ?` • Most bones start out as a soft, flexible tissue called cartilage. When you were born, you had a little true bone. But as you grew, the cartilage was replaced by the bone.

  8. What are joints ? • A joint is the location at which two bones make contact.
