GridWorld • One Event – Three “Programs” (definitions next slide) • Monday-Thursday (3-6 October) • Park Plaza Hotel, Boston, MA • Single Registration (GGF Discount rate consistent with Chicago and Seoul prices) – Opens ~July 7 • IDG runs registration, obtains sponsorship, executes on site, markets (with GGF’s help) • GGF solely responsible for program(s) content, schedule, and obtaining program participants • 2 Web sites: www.gridworldhome.com (IDG) and www.ggf.org

Component Definitions • Enterprise Program “The inaugural GridWorld™ is the premier B2B conference focused on the commercial benefits of grid computing for Enterprise IT professionals, worldwide.” • Community Program “This program contains a series of workshops, tutorials, and technology-focused talks which encourage the formation of new grid user communities or strengthen communities already established in the GGF.” • Standards Program “Now in its 15th event, GGF once again gathers grid deployers, developers, users, and technology experts from around the world to share best practices and develop specifications which lead to broadly adopted, industry-standard grid software.”

GridWorld Components • Enterprise Program on Tuesday-Wednesday (IDG manages) • Keynotes (4) • Panels, Breakouts, Invited Talks (~12 sessions) • Welcome Reception (Joint with All) • GGF14-like Community Program across all four days (GGF manages) • Tutorials • Workshops • Community-oriented presentations (talks, panels, etc.) • GGF14-like Standards “program” across all four days (GGF manages) • Group Sessions • BoFs • Area Meetings • Chair Appreciation Night • Opening, Town Hall, Closing (Joint with Community)

Enterprise Program • Capacity: 16 90’ minute slots (Tuesday-Wednesday) • Theme: Grid in Action: Explore, Adopt, Deploy • Grid Lifecycle in a typical Enterprise (explore, pilot, roll-out) • 2 of 4 Keynotes Confirmed • Takehiko Kato (Engineous Japan) - Falcon (BT) • Neilson (J&J invited) - CSFB (invited) • 8 Panels identified and currently championed Topics: Software Licensing, Exploring Grids (Pilot Projects), Beyond Pilots, Broader Deployment, Grids in Entertainment and Finance, Analyst Panels on Adoption and “Issues and Opportunities” • 1 Invited talk “on deck” (451 Group Readout)

  6. Community Program • Capacity: 20 90’ minute slots (Monday-Thursday) • Program work still to be done • Calls for participation (Workshops, Tutorials, Community-oriented program) to be circulated this week • Joint Sessions (Opening, Town Hall, Closing)

  7. Standards Program • Capacity: 73 90’ minute slots (Monday-Thursday) • GGF14 record number of slots requested (~80), but attendance was low
