  6. Team Discussion

  7. Team Discussion Welcome to the team area. Please try the "discuss" section by posting a thread that briefly introduces you to the rest of the team. Then work to set up a strategy whereby the entire team WORKS TOGETHER to answer the team quiz questions, POSTING ANSWERS IN THE DISCUSS AREA. The Team Quiz can be found in this week's materials. The Discuss area is a tool used by me to monitor or see who is truly engaged in this course. Your informed discourse demonstrates that. That is, an informed and thorough answer provided to one question carries considerably more weight toward your participation grade than does a series of quick answers to every question. Participate because it is mandatory, but do so in a constructive fashion that allows others on your team to participate as well.

  8. 1. When copying from one image to another, if the resolution of the destination image is higher than that of the source imagery, the copied image will appear ______ when it is pasted. 2. When using the Magic Wand tool, what option will change the range of shades or colors that will be selected? 3. Eliminating the noticeable seam that occurs after pasting or moving layer pixels is accomplished by using the ______ command. 4. Which select tool snaps to the nearest distinct shade or color that defines a shape's edge? 5. What file format has the extension, .png (i.e., what does png stand for)? 6. True or False. When a selection is active on an image, only the selected area is editable, while the rest of the image is protected from editing. 7. Decreasing the contrast between pixels (i.e., to soften the edges between shapes) can be accomplished with this tool on the toolbox? 8. The deeper the ______, the greater number of colors that can be shown in a pixel. A _____ that has an 8-bit depth, for instance, can display up to ______ colors. Bit-depths less than that will not be able to display as many colors. Depths that are deeper can, of course, display more colors than the 8-bit depth. 9. Cutting saves a selection to a temporary storage area, which is known as the ______. Team Quiz
