7. Description of College and Workforce Readiness A set of standards that describes the level of preparation a student needs to be ready to enroll and succeedwithout remediationin a credit-bearing course at a two-year or four-year institution, trade school, or technical school.

12. School Readiness DRAFT Recommended description presented to SBE in Nov. 2008.
School Readiness describes both the preparedness of a child to engage in and benefit from learning experiences, and the ability of a school to meet the needs of all students in preschool and kindergarten. School Readiness is enhanced when schools work collaboratively with families and community service providers to ensure that every child is ready for higher levels of learning in academic content.
