  2. Monday, 9/8/08 • Objective: • Students will: organize binders; learn the Cornell Note-taking method. • Agenda: • Bell Ringer: Why is it important to take notes in class? Respond in at least one paragraph (5-7 sentences). • Check materials/organize binders • Introduce Cornell Notes • Homework: • AVID’s School Supply Drive is this week; for extra credit, bring in any type of school supply to donate by tomorrow.

  3. Tuesday, 9/9/08 • Objective: • Students will: practice taking Cornell Notes. • Agenda: • Bell Ringer: • If you could have one wish come true, what would it be? Would you truly be happy if the wish were granted? Think deeply about the effects this wish will have on your life and then write one paragraph about them. Oh the things I would do if… • Collect school supply donations • STAR Note-taking Strategy • Homework: • Extra Credit: bring in school supplies to donate! • Write a one-paragraph reflection for today’s notes.

  4. Wednesday, 9/10/08 • Objective: • Students will: practice taking Cornell Notes. • Agenda: • Bell Ringer: A logo is a symbol that stands for a team, company, etc. Create a logo for yourself. Then explain why that logo is appropriate for you. • Collect STAR notes • Ms. V notes • Homework: • Write a one-paragraph reflection for Ms. V notes • For extra credit, donate school supplies for the AVID School Supply Drive

What do you remember? The doughnut has been called the most delicious accident in history. • 2. To make doughnuts, bakers mixed a pot of dough and rolled the lumpy mixture with a large bottle. • 3. Then they cut round pieces from the dough with a can. • 4. The small pieces of dough were then fried on a crude, homemade stove. • 5.
