  3. What’s festival? Festival: A special day or period, usually in memory of a religious event, with its own social activities, food or ceremonies.

  4. Game Guess who “I” am according to my self-introduction and the pictures.

  5. Spring Festival I’m the most important holiday in China. I always come on the eve of the lunar (农历) New Year and go on the fifth day of the first lunar month.

  6. Lantern Festival Colorful lanterns and delicious yuanxiao are my favorites. I’ve got two names, both of which express my wish for good fortune, happiness and health.

  7. Valentine’s Day My birthday comes on February 14. Lovers send chocolates,roses and cards to each other.

  8. Dragon Boat Festival Love the great poet Qu Yuan, love me.People eat rice dumplings and watch boat racesin memory of Qu Yuan.

  9. Tomb-sweeping Day I’m kind of sad not that it is rainy, but that people remembertheir dead relatives and visit their graveson my birthday.

  10. Christmas Day December 25 is my birthday, when people go to the parties and churches, givecards and presents to their friends and relatives.

  31. “Carnival”comes from two Latin words,meaning “no more meat”.In Europe,where it began,carnival was followed by forty days without meat,as people prepared for the Christian festival of Easter.People saw Carnival as last chance to have fun at the end of the winter season. Having fun meant eating,drinking,and dressing up.

  40. What’s the meaning of Carnival? Originally,it means “with no meat”; Now, it became a way to unite different communities ,as people forgot their everyday problems and enjoyed themselves eating,drinking and dancing.
