Brickwork Finance Academy: Bridging Campus To Corporate Gap.

India produces over 3 million graduates and post-graduates every year. A recent NASSCOM study reports that only 25 percent of technical graduates are employable. It is even worse for the regular graduates with only 10 to 15 percent employability. With the manpower requirement for companies growing and the employability of our graduates falling, India might lose the competitive edge that its workforce once commanded worldwide./nSo, what is wrong and how do we go about correcting it? /nSocial scientists and industry practitioners have identified several reasons for this. Non-industry-relevant curriculum of universities, lack of skilled teachers, lack of focus among students, parental pressure, poor communication skills of graduates etc., are understood to be some of the key reasons. Apart from top tier institutes such as IITs, IIMs and a few others, universities barely seem to revise the syllabus and curriculum to meet the industry needs. As a result, a university MBA rank holder might be unemployable in the corporate world. Students who realize this early on make an effort to acquire additional skills from private institutessuch as NIIT and others. But a majority of them face the harsh reality when they begin applying for jobs. /nUn-employability is not an issue that can be tackled by the government alone, though it has a major role to play. Educational institutions have to collaborate with corporates to ensure their graduates can contribute positively at their workplace from early on. This will be an important step in bridging the campus-to-corporate gap.

  6. Program & Curriculum Register Enquiry Program DetailsProgram Duration: 9 - month; 270 contact hoursFormat: Classroom sessions will be held during weekends. A total of 270 contact hours of class-room training spread over 9 - month. Students are expected to undertake a project in any of the fields related to Credit, Investment and Risk Management and submit the report for evaluation. Eligibility Criteria Register Enquiry Eligibility Criteria Selection processAll applications will be reviewed by a faculty committee with reference to their academic credentials, scores in competitive exams like CAT / MAT / XAT / GMAT / other test scores.   8. Admission Details Register Enquiry Admission Details Graduates in any discipline with a good academic record are eligible to apply for BFA’s Post Graduate Program. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their academic scores. CAT / MAT / XAT / GMAT / other scores, if any, will be considered. Short-listed candidates will be intimated through email to attend a personal interview. All expenses related to attending the personal interview shall be borne by the candidate. Brickwork Finance Academy will not reimburse any expenditure in this regard. Selected candidates are required to make the payment of the course fee in full before the start of the course. Payment can be made through cheque / DD drawn in favor of ‘Brickwork Finance Academy’, payable at Bangalore. Fees once paid will not be refunded / transferred under any circumstance. For admission/online queries, please contact: admissions@bfa-india.org Course Location:This course is presently being offered at our Bangalore Campus. Out-station participants are required to make their own arrangements for stay. However, on special request, BFA can assist participants in making boarding arrangements, at an additional cost.

Fee Structure Register Enquiry Fee StructureThe tuition fees for this course will be INR 1,25,000.Expenses related to books, case studies, travel, food and accommodation will be borne by the students. However, on special request, BFA can assist participants in making boarding arrangements.   10. F.A.Q. Register Enquiry What is the duration of the program? The program will have 270 contact hours during weekends, spread over 9 - month. How many modules does the program have? The program has 4 modules with 4-5 courses in each. In addition, students are expected to complete a industry related project. When does the program begin? The program is scheduled to begin on June, 2012. Is this program available in the distance mode? Presently, this program is being offered only as an on-campus program. Off-campus programs will be offered in the future. How does one apply for the program? Application form is available online. Click Apply for registering. I need to make some changes to my application. How do I do this? Please send us an email stating your full name and the changes required. Once I start filling up the application form, can I pause mid-way and continue at a later point in time? Yes. The data in the application form will be saved when you click on ‘Next’ button for each step. All the information including the step where you hit the ‘Next’ button will be saved. While filling the application, I accidentally closed the browser. Will the information in the application be saved? Sessions will be stored if you use the same browser and computer.
