  3. Heads up! • Of that 2% the average amount of this is less than $11,000.00 which will not cover the full cost of your college expenses. (5)

  13. COLLEGE COACHES WANT • TO RECRUIT ATHLETES THAT WILL SUCCEED ACAMEMICALLY! (6) • Your SAT and ACT test scores will be used as predictors of your academic success! • Your must have a GPA of a 2.0 • The higher the better!

What else? • The better the college the more rigorous the standards for admissions. • Taking AP exams ( Advanced Placement) will show your dedication and may even test out of a college course this way!! • Participation in extracurricular activities and volunteer work will show that you can handle the pressures of school and your sport while taking on other activities.

  15. IMPORTANT!!!! • Can an athletic scholarship or ability overturn academic denial? • NO(1) • Recruits need to make the same academic standards of both the NCAA and the university.

  16. WHAT’S YOUR BACK UP PLAN? • NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL INCREASES YOUR CHANCES FOR SUCCESS IN LIFE! • GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE INCREASES YOUR CHANCES FOR A HIGHER PAYING JOB!
