  3. ENERGY • Operations heavily reliant on steam from LPGfuelled boilers • Cost of fuel substantially higher than our primary competitors in Victoria • Northern New South Wales dairy industry facing difficulty competing with other regions

  4. METGASCO AGREEMENT • In addition to cost reduction, Richmond Dairies believes natural gas will result in a significant reduction in Greenhouse Gas emissions • Reduction in secondary emissions from processing, compressing and transport • Cogeneration a possible option in the future

  5. RICHMOND DAIRIES’ BELIEF • Richmond Dairies wishes to carry out operations in the most environmentally sustainable manner possible • Energy from renewable sources not a current option • Community concerns regarding the CSG industry
