  3. Discipline Consequences • Level 1 - teacher detentions - Detention held in teacher’s room • Held on the next day if received before • Not to exceed 30 minutes • Cutting a teacher detention results in a Level 2 • Transportation not provided

  4. Discipline Consequences • Level 2 Detentions • Administrative Detentions • Last until 3:30 pm • Cutting a Level 2 detention results in a Saturday detention • Disrespect to a staff member • Transportation not provided

  5. Discipline Consequences • Saturday Detentions • Held each Saturday necessary • Begins at 8:00am and ends at 11:00am • Cutting a Saturday Detention results in a suspension from school • Blatant disrespect to staff member • Tearing up or throwing away a detention • Multiple offense for inappropriate physical contact

  6. Suspensions • Multiple suspensions results in loss of eligibility for class trips and other privileges • Number of days depends on the offense and the previous disciplinary record • Loss of dance privilege for the next scheduled dance

  7. Handling Conflicts • Violence not tolerated • Fighting is an automatic suspension • Peer Mediation • Seek adult help • Teacher • Guidance Counselor • Principal • Inappropriate Physical Contact • Verbal bullying, teasing, harassment • Sexual Harassment

  8. Repeat Offenders • Parent Contact from teacher • Parent Conference with Principal and teacher • Loss of privileges • Dances • Field trips • Assemblies • Graduation Dance • Graduation Ceremony

Late for School • Students Enter Building at 8:20-8th; 8:25-7th • Must be in homeroom by 8:25-8th; 8:30-7th • Do not report to the office unless you come into school after homeroom • Level 1 detention for 1st three times unexcused late in a marking period • Level 2 on the 4th time unexcused late in a marking period • Saturday detention after the 6th time unexcused late in a marking period

  10. Dress Code Violations • No headbands • Repeat offenders names will be given to Principal for additional consequences • Other Violations: Students asked to change or sent home • Repeat offenders will receive level 2 for continued non compliant behavior

  11. Using Lockers • Students are to go to lockers only at times designated. • No book bags • Other times only if you have a pass from a teacher • Level 1 detention for hallway misbehavior • Decorating locker

  12. Bathroom Procedures • Use only when you have a pass and have signed out • Not between classes • Excessive use will result in having privileges limited

  13. Electronic Devices • Cell Phones • Must have a signed agreement from you and your parents on file in the Principal’s office asking for permission to carry a cell phone • Phone must be turned off in school • No beepers permitted • Personal CD players must be turned off and put away on school property • No Boom boxes permitted

  14. Academic Ineligibility • Established at interims or at the end of a marking period • If failing 2 or more subjects (U or F) • Ineligible to attend extra curricular clubs • Ineligible to play on athletic teams • Ineligible to attend dances or games • Period of ineligibility lasts until next report card or interim unless an academic improvement plan is approved by teachers and completed by the student • Students who are failing subjects after 2nd Marking period may be required to attend Saturday tutoring sessions
