  3. Turn knobs for setting: • Maximum pressure • PEEP • Flow

  4. LCD Touch ScreenSelect Mode then press MAIN menu • Then press Rate & TV • adjust with up/down arrows • IT, ET & I:E Ratio displayed • Flow, PEEP & Max Press limit • adjust with dials

  5. On the left side External Power Supply O2 Sensor ON/OFF Alarm Reset LED Charging Light Pt Circuit Pneumotach/Flow Sensor Input Airway Pressure Connector Exhalation Valve Connector

  6. bmd CrossVent 3 • powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery • lasts 6 hours • BioMed 16vDC 3A charger/converter recharges internal battery and allows for AC operation • LCD screen has LCD charging indicator and visually large LOW BATTERY alarm

  9. On the right side Gas Entrainment ON/OFF Bleed Exhaust Gas Supply Inlet (31 - 75 psig or 45 - 75 when using blender)

  10. Gas Entrainment • When connected to 100% oxygen source gas with the Gas Entrainment ON, the oxygen concentration is diluted to 50%. • There will be some decrease in delivered flow rate with Entrainment ON under high load conditions

  16. ALARMS • ALARM 1 • Peak Pressure • Respiratory Rate • Exhaled Tidal Volume (can be switched off) • Exhaled Minute Volume (can be switched off) • ALARM 2 • PEEP • Mean Pressure (can be switched off) • Oxygen (can be switched off)

  17. To set Alarms Press ALARM 1 • Press High or Low Limits to Change • Adjust with up/down arrows

  18. Repeat for ALARM 2 settings

  19. 3rd Level Alarms Low Gas Supply Pressure Low Battery Ventilator Failure

  20. With Alarm Condition: the value for the exceeded limit flashes red -1

  21. When power off, press and hold ALARM RESET
