  2. Ticket to Work • A voluntary employment program • Available to persons age 18-64 receiving Social Security Disability Insurance or SSI • Goal: Reduce reliance on Social Security disability benefits, increase self-sufficiency, and improve the quality of life for beneficiaries

  6. Iowa State Workforce Partners Employment Network provide the following services… • Skills assessment / interest inventory • Resume preparation • Interviewing skills training • Job search and labor exchange • Work Incentives information • Tax Incentive information

  7. Benefits for you • No medical review while ticket is assigned • You select the Employment Network & change your Employment Network if necessary • You support other job seekers with disabilities seeking employment

  8. 3 Simple Steps to Assign Your Ticket • Use your current IowaWORKS employment plan • Agree to the Individual Work Plan • Provide history of earnings

  9. 1 question Are you currently receiving or have you in the past received services from Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation or Iowa Dept for the Blind? If yes, your Ticket is being used by them and we want you to keep your Ticket with them.

  10. Individual Work Plan & 18–month Look Back • Together let’s review the information on the IWP handout & timely progress review handout • Questions • Together let’s complete the 18-month Look back handout

  11. Sign on the Line • Together we need to review your information and then both sign. • You will get a letter from Social Security stating your Ticket has been assigned.

  12. REMINDER • Report if you start a job / end a job • Monthly report your earnings to us • Let us know if you need any assistance even while you are working
